Grumpy Kitty

Can't you see you are disturbing my nap-time?

I don't care about shelves. I just want all the hammering and noise to stop!

Shelves

"Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend."

No, it is not diamonds but shelves! Lots of Shelves!

Pog has been busy building new shelves for the studio.

My yarns have been stored in boxes. Now they are sorted and lined up so nicely! I even have room for baskets, tools and collectables!

I love having my weaving, doll, quilt and rug hooking books out where I can see them now!

New Shelves.

So many shelves. I love how this looks!

My collection of tomato pincushions and early scissors.

I hope you are having a wonderful day!

Monday Evening

Monday morning began sunny and warm but now storm clouds are brewing. Thunder is rumbling in the distance and echoing between the mountains. I love that sound.

My dad used to call them joy rides.
I needed to get out today so come take a joy ride with me to one of my favorite places.

Covered Bridge

Log Cabin on the grounds of The Mountain Gateway Museum

Old Fort

Roadside Treats!

Lake Tahoma

Dam at Lake Tahoma

The Casino

The Casino was built in the 1920's but never used as a casino.

Blue Ridge Parkway

Mount Mitchell mountain range.

One of my favorite places to buy plants!

Lots of plants!

This is a very large greenhouse with wonderful plants and great prices.

Thanks for coming on my Sunday drive with me.
I feel lots better now and ready to plant flowers!

May Day

I can’t believe it is the first day of May!
We have been so busy here at the studio.
We have had to do some unexpected work on a retaining wall at our house, and I have been busy finishing up projects and starting new ones. It has been hard to work with all the commotion going on with carpenters, trucks, backhoes and dump trucks coming and going.

The Beginning of a really big mess!

This used to be the entrance to my studio.

Reinforcing the retaining wall and providing drainage.

But, the Shelf Sitters are finished, and the looms are busy with various projects, which need to finish up this week.

Lots of Rabbits!

Raggedy Ann and Andy Shelf Sitters.

I also have a new project on the worktable, which I am excited about!

What can it be?

So there is no time to dance around the May pole today.
Happy May Day Everyone!
