No Rest

My Mom always said there was no rest for the weary or the wicked.
I don't know about the wicked part but I sure am weary.

I came home from visiting my daughter to a lot of storm damage from the 13th.

Pog had told me, we had a tree down on the driveway and it was windy.
Believe it or not, he was going to get his hair cut when this hit.
When it started to rain so hard he could not see, he turned around, going back up the driveway, when one of these big oaks snapped off at the top.
He called me on the cell phone to tell me about it.
He sounded like a excited little kid.
He has had two knee MRI's in the past week for a torn meniscus and a possible tumor which thankfully turned out to be a large hematoma.
He is getting better but his reaction to the trees being down was  "Oh, I can clean that up"

Yep... I am weary and very mad right now.
I will never understand men.

Break Time

The tour was disappointing as far as the number of visitors.
It was about 1/3 the normal amount.

Dish towels and a runner.

Angel Tree topper.

Rugs

I still had some good sales, mostly rugs, dish towels and mug rugs.
Several repeat visitors came to see me which was great!

I am taking a break from the studio and having a mother/daughter week.
I'll have lots more pictures then including my mystery guys which I have finished.

See you next week!

End of Day Two

So far the tour has been a little slow with fewer people than expected,
 but still some good sales.

The pumpkin pin cushion on the right with a kitty on top,
sold today but still plenty more goodies.

Sunday the studio is open from 10 to 6.
Come on out if you can!!

Studio Tour

The sun is coming out, fresh baked chocolate chip cookies
and lots and lots of goodies to see and buy!

I'll be adding pictures throughout the weekend as time allows.
Wish all of you could come to the studio this weekend!!

Burning The Midnight Oil

This was my two pieces in the TRAC exhibit for participating tour studios.
Yes, I said was.
Mr. C sold yesterday and now I am scrambling to finish his replacement.
Normally pieces are kept in the exhibit until the end but the gentlemen
was buying it for his wife's birthday.

Thankfully I had the wool dyed and at least sketched in my head, Mr. Robin Redbreast.
I had to drop what I was working on and work on that instead.
I am certainly down to the wire on getting ready for the upcoming studio tour.
Sorry I have not had time to update the blog on what I have been making
or even have time to read others blogs.

I will be showing finished pieces soon and the studio (that is if I ever get it cleaned up).
My help is not arriving until next Thursday, the day before the tour begins.
I will put them to work as soon as they get here!!

Until then - a pot of coffee, turn up the music, forget about the clock and work, work, work!!
Happy weekend to all!!
