Snowy Valentine

We got around 10 inches of snow with the storm
that passed thru our area the last couple of days.
Today has been sunny and bright with temps in the 40's and the melting began
but we have a possibility of more snow tonight.
I love snow but would prefer not to get a winters worth at one time!

Thankfully the power stayed on and the wood stove kept the house warm and cozy.

Just a simple quiet night at home is planned with a
fudgy cake that I baked for my sweetheart.
I also have his favorite Butter P. ice cream to go with it.

Wishing each of you a
Happy Valentine's Day!

  1. Happy Valentine's Day. Our temperature reached in the 50's today and has melted a lot of the snow, as much as I love winter and have missed the snow I forgot about the dreaded - SLUSH. Oh, and the poor cars. Yes, remember the pretty, forget the ugly.

Wishing you a nice cozy Valentine evening. (We are doing the same, and waiting for the next storm.)

    Hugs

    1. And then the slush turns to mud! Next week sounds great with warmer temps. Maybe spring is not far away!

  3. Wow, were you up a tree to take that beautiful photo, lol. That cake looks delicious. We got about the same amount of snow and it's still snowing. My husband has a big 8 foot plow on the big tractor and he said that it was very heavy snow.

    Happy Valentine Day.
