SAFF stands for Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair,
which is being held at the WNC Agriculture Center in Fletcher, NC this weekend.
Yesterday Pog and I spent the morning seeing more fiber, spinning wheels, looms and
other fiber tools than you can imagine in one place!
It's a lot of fun but I enjoy seeing the animals the most.
I used to raise sheep and goats but now that I am not on a farm,
I miss being around animals.
I enjoyed being able to pet these guys.
I love the expression on their faces and they were so soft!
Then...
I saw this little one visiting with her owner.
The tiniest Dachshund puppy I have ever seen.
She was so playful and friendly.
My cat is three times bigger than this pup!
I looked at Pog after playing with her, rubbing that so soft tummy
and what did Pog say?
No.
Ah well.. at least I got to play with this one.

How could anyone say no to a dog?! And that little one sure was cute.Those are some interesting colors on those alpacas. Wow! Glad you had fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I'm with you--the animals would've been my focus, too, I'm sure. Our neighbors have a dachshund who comes over to play with our cats--they are such good dogs . . .
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good day out. What beautiful animals. My mother used to raise miniature goats, they were more like pets & so fun to watch play. Very cute Dachshund, they are my favorite kind of dog. Our little Cappy (part Dachshund) was given to me through the drive thru window when I worked at the bank, I just couldn't say no!

ReplyDeleteGod made puppies so dang cute so we'd fall in love with them. Too bad so many are in need of forever homes. Makes me sad.
