Folk School

Next week I will be at John C. Campbell Folk School as an assistant instructor
in  Weaving Your Coverlet workshop, taught by friend and talented weaver/musician
Beth Ross Johnson.
If you have never heard of the folk school please use the link
www.folkschool.org for their web site  and check them out.
It is one of my favorite places having been there several times as a student in rug weaving workshops but this is the first time as a studio assist.
I am looking forward to all the nice people,
great food and lots of music in this special place.

Pic from Oct. 2007, last time I was there.

I’ll post lots of pictures for you of the school and the class work on my return.
Hope you are having a great summer so far.
Have a safe and happy fourth!

  3. Awesome, can't wait to see the photos. Do you make doll sized coverlets?

    1. Sherri, I have not made doll sized but it has been on my mind to try. First I have to weave a full sized coverlet and then maybe I can work on some tiny ones!

  5. When I saw your comment on my blog today I thought, "Huh! Louise hasn't posted on her blog in a long time!" But then I came looking and found that you've have been posting, indeed, but I've just missed it somehow! Anyhow, I've wanted to know more about the folk school for a long time and this post got me to finally order a catalog!

    1. Glad you ordered a catalog for the school. You will love taking a weaving class there and maybe the hubby can take a class too! Let me know if I can help in any way.
